Funeral services for Yolanda Yvette Robinson Thompson, 52, of Gloster, MS, who passed away on August 8, 2022, in Centreville, MS, at Field Memorial Community Hospital; will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Gloster, MS with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery in Liberty, MS under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation services will be held on Friday, August 12,2022 at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Gloster, MS, from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Please wear your mask whenever possible and practice social distancing; please be considerate of the family as we do our best to ensure the safety of the family during this unpredictable time.
Yolanda was born on October 5, 1969, in Liberty, MS to George B. Robinson and Eva Marie Perkins Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Marie Perkins Robinson; grandparents, Moyese and Helen Perkins; grandfather, Robert Lee Robinson; one brother, Sgt. Freddie A. Robinson; a special niece, Ty’Mia M. Tickles; her mother-in-law, Mavis Thompson; her father-in-law, James B. Anderson; five uncles; one aunt; four brothers-in-law.
Yolanda leaves to cherish her memories: her husband; three daughters, Keonisha Thompson and her special friend, Thomas Stewart, Mia Watkins and husband Malcolm and Areionna Thompson and special friend Carlton Hall Jr.; her father, George Robinson and his wife Ella; one grandmother, Bertha Robinson; two sisters, Monzella Tickles and husband Tyrone, and Tyreneka Robinson and her special friend Reginald Anders; two god brothers, Edell Perkins and Dariet Hughes and his wife Muriel; two god sisters, Libby Smith and Toya Younger and husband Jessie; four special friends, Shonda Mays, Ashley Williams, Jennifer Thornton and Diane Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
