Rusty was born on January 10, 1967, in Franklin County, MS, to Joseph Michael Gilbert and Joyce Lee Dillon Gilbert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph M. Gilbert and Joyce Lee Dillon Gilbert; maternal grandparents Johnnie and Dorothy Dillon and paternal grandparents Johnnie and Eva Gilbert.
Rusty leaves to cherish his memories: one brother, Johnnie Michael Gilbert and wife Patricia of Meadville, MS; one stepdaughter, Megan Dier of Magnolia; MS; one niece, Tracy Cloy of Meadville, MS; one nephew, Jonathan Gilbert and wife Hollie of Amite County; host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
