Obituary for Mildred Taplin Liberty - September 2, 1932 - March 11, 2023 Funeral services for Mildred Melenese Taplin, 90, of Liberty, who passed away on March 11, 2023, will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at St. Mary Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jehue White officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Visitation services will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the service time at the church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Mildred was born on September 2, 1932, in Liberty, MS, to Alex and Christine Anderson. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charlie Taplin Jr.; two daughters, Mary Taplin and Rachel Pinkney; two brothers, James Anderson and Emmitt Anderson. Mildred leaves to cherish her memories four children: Anderson (Shirley) Taplin, Charlie (Cynthia) Taplin, and David Taplin all of Gloster, and Dorothy Diane (Jessie) Reynolds of Harvey, LA; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of great children, other family, and friends.
