Gloster, MS-----August 23, 1930 - May 9, 2023 Funeral services for Lillie Mae Williams, 92, of Gloster, who passed away on May 9, 2023, will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the Homochitto Baptist Association building, in Gloster, MS, at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Emanuel Powell, Sr. officiating, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Big Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Gloster, MS. Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Center in Meadville, MS and on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until the service time at the Homochitto Baptist Association building. Lillie Mae Williams was born on August 23, 1930, in Amite County, MS to Ben Cockerham and Luvenia McKnight Cockerham. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Limie Williams, Jr. To this union (9) children were born. She was an avid gardener, talented crafter, and a proud member of the church choir, the deaconess board, and the Chamber of Commerce. Her career endeavors included time spent as a culinary artist, 4-H director, and seamstress. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband, Limie Williams, Jr.; daughter, Dorothy Dean Williams; granddaughter, Diana Williams; great-grandson, Limie James Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories (3) daughters: Bessie Kenney of Harvey, LA, Lillie Childs and Janice Williams both of Houston, TX; (5) sons: Joseph (Wilma) Williams of Gloster, MS, Jerry (Lesia) Williams of LaPlace, LA, Lee Roy (Lenoria) Williams of Houston, TX, David (Jacqueline) Williams of LaGrange, GA, and Randy (Gloria) Williams of Ypsilanti, MI; (12) grandchildren, (11) great grandchildren, (1) sister-in-law, Gloria Dunbar; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and church family.
