Funeral services for Jerry Lee "J.L." Amos, 59, of Quentin, MS, who passed away on October 2, 2020, in Jackson will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020, at The Lighthouse Center in Meadville at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Jerry Wilhite officiating. Interment will follow at Amos Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Wake services will be held on Thursday October 2, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at The Lighthouse Center with an additional visitation on Friday, October 9,2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
J.L. was born on July 10, 1961, in Quentin, MS, to Ulius and Ethel Amos. He has been a beloved member of the Marshall Funeral Home staff since its opening day in 1999.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ulius Amos, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two loving daughters, Tralisa S. Amos and Babygirl Shemiah J. Amos; his one and only grandson, his pride and joy, Khylan E. Amos; two special daughters, Mandy Russell and Lakenon Lyons; five sisters: Eula Amos, Bernie Amos, Ida Amos, Betty Amos, and Nancy Amos; two brothers, Eddie (Faye) Amos and Ray Amos; godmother, Mother Brown; godfather, Hilton Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and especially the Marshall Funeral Home staff.
J.L. was one-of-kind and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
