Roxie, MS – July 11, 1932 – December 29, 2020 Graveside services for Elmerie Harris “Cush” Shaw, 88, of Meadville, MS, who passed away on December 29, 2020, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville, MS, will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Roxie, MS at 11:00 A.M with Elder Anthony Wilcher officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. A walk through visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Center in Meadville, MS. PLEASE BE ADVISED: All visitors are required to wear masks. Please be considerate of the family; wear masks, hand sanitize, social distance and adhere to all safety precautions. Elmerie “Cush” was born on July 11, 1932 in Franklin County, MS, to Douglas and Josephine Fells Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, A. J. Shaw Sr.; one daughter, Rosie Shaw Fox; seven sisters, Willie Mae Clark, Mildred Thompson, Mary Anderson, Myrtis Harris, Alvie Tucker, Prentiss Harris and Eva Nell Carradine; five brothers, J.C. Harris, L.C. Harris, Clifton Harris, Thomas Harris and MacArthur Harris; one son-in-law, Ray Hamiliton. She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Linda Hamiliton and Janice (Elzie) Anderson; four sons, Leroy King, Leon Shaw, A. J. Shaw Jr. and Robert Shaw all of Meadville, MS; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five sisters, Shirley Dickey, Sharon (Ronnie) Elmore both of Natchez, MS, Flora Harris, Pearlar Griffin and Willie (Bobby) Hunt; one brother, Billy Harris of Bosier City, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
