Obituary
Roxie – August 23, 1939 – October 3, 2022 Funeral services for Clara Ethel Hunt, 83, of Roxie, who passed away in Hattiesburg, MS, will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Roxie, MS (Kirby Community) with Rev. Luther Bonds Jr officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hunt Cemetery. Visitation services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Lighthouse Center in Meadville, MS and on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until the service time. Please be considerate of the family and take all safety measures to protect them during these unpredictable times. Clara “Muh” as she is affectionately known was born on August 23, 1939, in Roxie, MS, to James Wilson Sr. and Luberta Wade Wilson. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Sr and Luberta Wade Wilson; one son, Julius Ray Burnett; one grandson, Michael Allen; three sisters, Ammie Grimes, Rothana Evans and Pinkie Hunt; one brother, James Wilson Jr. Clara “Muh” leaves to cherish her memories: a loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Hollis Hunt Sr.; two daughters, Cassandra Allen and Vanessa Hunt all of Roxie, MS; two sons, Ronald Hunt and Hollis Hunt Jr. and wife Tracy; four sisters, Willie Lee Davis of Roxie, MS. Ruby Hampton of Las Vegas, NV, Louise Sims of Los Angeles, CA and Rowena Leggins of New Orleans, LA; one brother, Woodrow Wilson and wife Minnie Pearl; tons of grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one best friend, Dorothy “Dot” Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends Online condolences can be made at www.marshallfuneralhomems.com for the family, as well as memorial tributes.
