Bobby Kelly Obituary

Bobby Kelly was fully united with Jesus on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born August 28, 1950, in Raleigh, Mississippi, to Kimble and Dot Kelly.
He invested in the lives of young people for 31 years as an agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at Frankin Vocational Center. He was an avid fox and coyote hunter, and cherished his time as a leader in the community and his church, Meadville Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Arlena (Matt) Smith; son, John Kelly; his former wife, Donna Kelly; grandchildren Abbey and Jesse Smith; and, sisters Dottie (Donnie) Lawson and Mandy (Charlie) Jones. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Meadville Baptist Church or Gideon's International (gideons.org ). He will be laid to rest in a private family service in Smith County, Mississippi. If you have any words or comments that you would like to share to honor him, please email a note to rememberingbobbykelly@gmail.com . The family will be faithful to bury each these with him.
Note to the Community: The Kelly Family would like to thank you for the outpouring of love, grace, and support you have expressed to our entire family since Bobby Kelly met Jesus face to face on Saturday evening. We are abundantly thankful for every call, text, and message we have received showing your concern. Our entire family will undoubtedly need your continued support as we navigate the following difficult season. Additionally, we are abundantly thankful for all of the first responders who fought the fire and worked earnestly on our father's behalf. We'll never be able to say thank you adequately for putting your lives on the line to serve and protect our family and our dear friends in Franklin County. To honor his expressed request, we will lay him to rest in a private family service in the coming days in the community where he grew up. Throughout his life, he purposefully communicated these desires to each of his family members consistently. While we would love to have the opportunity for a celebration of life with the multitudes of people his life touched, we believe that honoring his final requests honors him best. However, we want every person to have the chance to share their thoughts and love with him. If you have any words or comments that you would like to share to honor him, please email a note to rememberingbobbykelly@gmail.com . The family will be faithful to bury each these with him. While Bobby Kelly's earthly life has ended, we are confident that many of his life's impacts will live on in this life and throughout eternity in the stories of the people with whom he shared his life. We ask you to share the many stories of him at his best and continue to be gracious with him in his humanity.
Many blessings, Arlena, John & the entire Kelly family
